Back Pain
Lower back pain is a common symptom and affects most of us at some point during our lifetime. Fortunately most of the episodes usually resolve with minimal activity, limited bed rest, and over-the-counter medications. Back pain can be caused by obvious trauma including sprains and strains, as well as postural difficulties, degenerative disc disease (DDD) including disc herniations and spinal stenosis, inflammatory diseases and arthritis, infection, mechanical disorders, congenital disorders, osteoporosis, circulatory disorders, and numerous other potential causes. Tumors are also a rare cause of back pain.
